President's Report
It has recently come to my attention that there was an inquiry into whether an Associate Member can be given a Life Membership at reaching age 80. As per our bylaws, Life Membership can only be given to a Full Member. In other words they must be a licensed amateur radio operator in order to benefit.
I have discussed the security issue of our clubhouse with our President-elect, Nelson LaBarge. Nelson has posted "No Trespassing" signs on the property. A warning notice will be posted on the building. It will state that non members, which will include former members whose dues are in arrears, are not authorized to be on the club's property unless accompanied by a current member in good standing. Possession of a key, or knowledge of the door's access code, does not automatically grant one permission to enter the premises. Violators will be subject to arrest.
Immediately following tonight's meeting, we will have the closing of the clubhouse and get it ready for the long winter ahead.
Unfinished Business
Fred Wolcott, KC2KBQ, resigned the position of trustee in a letter dated Oct. 6, 2005 addressed to Nelson LaBarge, President-elect. Ron Sixbury, WB2LCE, has agreed to fill the vacancy of Trustee which has one year remaining in its term.
Mark Chamberlain, WB2PKO, has agreed to run for the office of Vice-president.
Paul Reape, WX2PJR, has accepted the nomination for the office of club secretary.
As there were no other nominations for Vice-president, Secretary, or Trustee, and since we do not have an active secretary, President Steve Gunn asked that someone make a motion to have the treasurer cast one ballot for the slate of officers just read. The motion was made by Ernie, WB2ASL, and seconded by Jim, K2PNA. The motion passed unanimously. All elected positions within the club have now been filled for 2006.
New Business
Steve introduced President-elect, Nelson LaBarge, Jr., KB2SVQ. Nelson gave an overview of some of his plans for the coming year, such as opening the club, having guest speakers, and finding ways to increase membership and interest in the club. Nelson has also ordered special pens and key chains with the club's name printed on them. He requested that a donation be given if you would like to have one or more of these items. After Nelson's expenses are met, anything above his costs will be given to the club's treasury.
Nelson introduced Jerry Parkany, W2JMP, our newly elected activities director for the coming year. Jerry outlined some of his plans for the coming year.

Setting a Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts Day
Jim, K2PNA, thanked President Steve Gunn, WA2VQD, for the fine job he has done over the past two years.
Denver, WD9DVM, inquired about the possibility of putting up some utility poles and have some permanent antennas hooked up at the clubhouse.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Jim, K2PNA and seconded by Paul, KC2GWT. The meeting ended at 8:24 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Steve Gunn, WA2VQD, President
