The club repeater is off the air.  A new repeater is being purchased.  Paul Barben (KC2GWT) and Joe Loveland (WB2TUP) are heading up repairs and replacement.

The last meeting is in November, thereafter, the 1st Monday of the month on the 76 repeater in the winter.  If the Echolink is up, our snowbirds can join in.  We will also be doing a chit-chat net session on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m.

New business:  No new business.

Steve (WA2VQD) introduced guest speaker:  Tom Dick (KF2GC) ARRL Northern New York Section Manager talked about Northern New York Amateur Radio Association.  We would need 51% of the membership to become an affiliated club.  Thank you for coming to talk to us.

Announcements:  Security of the club building.  The building is for members only and it is the responsibility of the members.  Guests are not allowed in the building without a member present.

An idea was put on the table about ideas for our former member Bill Scee and his wife Helen.  We are looking for input on a nice plaque and presenting it to the family at the dinner in October as a memorial and dedication.  Ideas were also brought up to name the club building in their honor.  Ideas on wording or volunteers please contact Ric Letson (NB2E) or call 782-8047.

Earl (KA2IWO) wins the 50/50 and generously donates the money toward the new repeater’s expenses.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 8:52PM by Ron (KC2JGP) and 2nd by Jim (K2PNA).

Respectfully Submitted,

Dondra Liebman / KC2MYS

JCRAC Secretary
