Regular Meeting
Monday, July 3, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Nelson LaBarge, Jr., KB2SVQ. The flag salute was given.
The following Officers & Trustees were in attendance:

KB2VMR, Don Scee, 3-Yr. Trustee
The following Officers & Trustees were absent:

WB2ASL, Ernie Jeican, 2-Yr. Trustee
WB2LCE, Ron Sixbury, 1-Yr. Trustee
The minutes from the last meeting were read by Mark, WB2PKO. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Denver, WB9DVM and seconded by Bob, WB2BTE. The motion was carried.
The treasurer's report was read by Mal Adsit, KC2CUJ. Don Scee, KB2VMR, moved that Mal's report to be approved. Paul, KC2GWT, seconded the motion. It was approved.
Nelson reported that it was suggested that he step down due to problems he was having and considering the expense of driving back and forth from his home QTH to the clubhouse. Nelson said he would continue to honor his commitment.
Old Business (See minutes from last month)
Don, KB2VMR, moved that the old repeater which is basically a shell with several missing parts be donated to Nelson. Steve, WA2VQD, seconded the motion. The motion passed.
New Business
Denver talked about Earl's antenna. Needs labor, Denver has some documentation on antenna and suggestions. WB2BTE moved we buy conduit ($20). KB2VMR seconded. The motion was carried.
Denver reported on Field Day 2006. There was the shortest distance QSO made when one of the participants inadvertently answered calls being made by another member at the clubhouse. He also reported on CW and voice totals and various points earned. Some members continued to operate until around 3:00 a.m. and then got up around 6:00 a.m. to continue on Sunday morning.
The club's HF rig which is not receiving is out to Paul, KC2GWT. He will check it out to verify failure before sending it out for repair. Denver, WB9DVM, moved that the radio be sent in for repair at the club's expense. Bob, WB2BTE, seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
While the 50/50 tickets were being distributed, Steve, WA2VQD, announced that his daughter-in-law and son gave birth to a girl this evening. The 50/50 drawing was won by Ruth Duffany who donated her share back to the club.
Harry, KC2KYX, moved that the meeting be adjourned. Bob, WB2BTE, seconded the motion. The meeting ended at _______ p.m.
