The Jefferson County Radio Amateur Club provides disaster communications support through our ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) program as well as our US Army MARS (Military Auxiliary Radio Service) program.

Our educational programs range from basic electronics and FCC license preparation courses to assembling functional radios from scratch and circuit design. Educational opportunities exist for youth which stress the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math skills in today's workforce. For additional information about opportunities in the classroom or at our facility please contact us directly!

The Jefferson County Radio Amateur Club supports our military members through our participation in the Military Auxiliary Radio Service (MARS) and through our educational programs which teach job skills usable when reentering the civilian workforce. Our recreational programs are also available to members of the military and provide a positive method of de-stressing following deployment.
